PTI April Blog Hop - My Timeless Templates

Welcome to my very first entry in the PTI Blog Hop! The goal tonight was to use My Timeless Templates in our projects. I sat for a long time thinking, what can I make and after about 1000 ideas that I had I figured I'd make a pretty way to organize my markers! So I pulled out my PTI cardstock and made a very important decision, which of these lovely colors will hold my most prize crafting possessions. I finally decided on Raspberry Fizz and Dark Chocolate.
I used the Filled with Flair Timeless Template and cut it in Chocolate Brown. Now I do have to mention that my cheap printer isn't actually able to pull the paper through, so I ended up printing the template on another sheet of just plain copy paper and then cutting it out and tracing it onto the Chocolate Brown. The inserts that I used were Raspberry Fizz cut to 4"x8.5" and the just simply rolled into a tube. I did adhere the circle when I picked the size so that two tubes would fit in each box, I didn't however glue the tubes into the boxes, I wanted to be able to remove them if I needed EVEN more room...I guess that 'if' should be 'when' huh?

I got my first background stamping is as well using Damask Designs which I stamped over the Raspberry Fizz cardstock with my new Hibiscus Burst. After a good deal of practice I was able to make all of the lines straight enough to be beautiful. Then once I did I used the pattern that came with the Timeless Templates to make the side pieces.

The front piece is a piece of cardstock that was cut to a tag form. I dyed it with my Hibiscus Burst ink pad, and then used the Fresh Alphabet stamp to spell out markers, (which was a funny event in itself, my boyfriend is my spell-check and I asked him to look at it. He did say it was spelled right, then once it was stamped he then said no wait, why did you spell it wrong.. I of course freaked out because I spent so much time making the tag look the way I wanted. Such a tease!). I tied the whole thing together with a piece of brown gross grain ribbon. The best part is I can make more boxes and add them... nothing is affixed together so I can pull everything apart and add more boxes in the center.

What do you think? Fancy way to store markers, huh? Thanks so much for stopping by, now I'm off to the next blog!
