Risque Business - Amy's Friday Challenge

So while sitting at work I found some really fun stamps of old time pin-up girls! And I had just been thinking about drawing some up myself for a couple of cards, so I couldn't help but order one or two of these lovely ladies. The company is called Bombshell Stamps, and I want to thank them for having some amazing pieces of art that I can work with!

Here is the card for today, as part of Amy R's Friday Challenge Card (AmyRS54) for this week. I took her sketch and simplified it a bit since my Queen of Diamonds is so detailed, I dropped a piece of patterned paper out of the mix. So here it is!

The card is 5.5"x5.5" to properly accommodate the stamped image. Bazzill basic's paper makes up the card itself, the images are stamped on Papertrey Ink's White Shimmer Cardstock, which actually makes her look as if she's sparkling all over! Love it! The images again are from Bombshell Stamps and are titled "Butterfly Queen". She is just stamped and embossed with simple black powder. (I'm still trying to get the hang of the embossing powder side of stamping) And her wings are stamped and then used Stickles to give them a bit of extra shimmer. All of the images you see here come with her as well as two lovely butterflies that I will find a good use for. She is colored with Prismacolor Pencils. They're quickly becoming my favorite, and since I can't afford fancy markers they also work the best to match colors.

In order to add some extra dimension to the piece I popped her
off the page using foam stickers and added some extra bling to the four corners. With some simple pink gemstones. I kept everything so simple because I wanted her to stand out. Now, all I need is a reason to give her to someone special!
